Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 6.00 am - 2.30 pm

(This position requires flexibility to work extra hours and on weekends during peak production periods)

Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Delta Pacific Seafoods (DPS) is the largest fresh, frozen, and value-added seafood operation in British Columbia, specializing in high-quality custom seafood processing, value-added, and cold storage services.

**Position Summary**:
The Help Desk / IT Support Specialist is an integral position that supports the day-to-day operations of our dynamic and complex business.

As the first point of contact for users requiring technical assistance, this is a hands-on role with time split between the production floor (60%) and office (40%) and reports to the Senior IT Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide IT support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Install and maintain computer hardware and peripherals.
- Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely resolution to technical issues.
- Keep users informed on the status of their requests.
- Document IT procedures and maintain knowledge base for future reference.
- Identify needs, analyze technical requirements, and find solutions to problems.
- Set up company-provided mobile devices following company standards

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience as a Help Desk Technician or customer support role in I.T.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles and protocols.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 20 to 30 lbs.
- Access to a vehicle is required.
