TSoM is currently seeking an experienced professional instructor to teach in our Business Program. Modules include:
- Managing Financial Resources
- Principles of Accounting
- Financial Accounting and Reporting Responsibilities and duties include but not limited:
- Create an exhilarating learning environment to students in the Business program.
- Develop and deliver an effective learning environment using available resources, incorporating various teaching/learning methods to meet the course objectives.
- Manage lesson planning, assignments, class, and overall course assessment of the students’ work while ensuring students’ awareness of course objectives and TSoM’s expectations.
- Guide class discussions while encouraging debate and feedback by students.
- Challenging ideas, encouraging students to develop skills and knowledge in critical and rational thinking.
- Engage students by tutoring and academic counselling while providing constructive feedback and encouragement when needed.
- Attend and participate in department and faculty meetings relevant to faculty responsibilities.
- Conduct further research into their specific field of knowledge. Education and Experience
- A Master’s degree from a recognized University in a business-related field
- Minimum 4 years working industry experience
- Two years of teaching experience at the college level Key Skills
- Ability to identify points of improvement in a curriculum.
- Good leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to foster a collaborative, cooperative environment among students & faculty.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to changing technologies & educational practices.
- Ability to be aware of and manage individual student needs.
- Ability to use Learning Management System platforms (Canvas) an important asset.
