The Project Estimator will review project plans and specifications, perform site visits, and use evaluating methods to establish the construction cost for some of the industry's most challenging projects. Using detailed construction analysis and historical costs, the estimator will prepare comprehensive cost estimates and supporting data (schedules, material, and subcontract price comparison, rate build-up, etc.) for direct and indirect costs to accurately determine the cost of construction.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare estimates of probable costs of materials, labor and equipment, and subcontracts for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications
- Advice on tendering procedures, examine and analyze tenders, recommend tender awards and conduct negotiations
- Establish and maintain tendering processes
- Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
- Liaise, consult and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors, and prepare economic feasibility studies on changes and adjustments to cost estimates
- Manage and coordinate construction projects, and prepare construction progress schedules
- General alternate price for value engineering scope elements for the projects

Skills and Abilities:

- Prepare estimates of labor and material costs
- Estimate pre-contract costs
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Provide economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
- Working knowledge of Estimating and Quantity Take-off software like PLANSWIFT, PROCORE, CAD, MICROSOFT OFFICE

Experience/ Qualification:

- 5 -10 years of progressive experience as an Estimator in low rise construction like retirement homes, hotels, student housing, and commercial plaza
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Experience in working in a multi-joint venture environment
- Use of CAD, digital take-off programs, and a strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Competence in creating a complete bid price using construction database estimating software and expert use of MS Excel essential.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
