**Overview**

Montech Mechanical Industries Ltd. is currently looking for a Field Project Coordinator for a project near Squamish, British Columbia. Air fare to Vancouver and ferry to project site is provided.

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that project procedures are being followed in the field. The Project Coordinator will liaise with the project team, contractor, subcontractors/vendors to make sure project cost and schedule are reported accurately including quality assurance.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring and cost control.
- Work with the project team to maintain and update project schedule.
- Assist Superintendents in overall construction coordination and planning.
- Monitor sub-contractor performance.
- Maintain and perform project document control, distribute, monitor, track and document all change orders, site instructions, clarifications, RFI’s and other project related documentation as it relates to subcontractors/vendors, designers and other project partners.
- Review, distribute, monitor, track and document all submittals.
- Assist the Project Manager with the management of monthly progress invoicing.
- Attend site meeting as required to assist the Project Manager.
- Support the Superintendents with site deliveries of material and equipment, as required.
- Keep the Project Manager and other stakeholders informed of project status and conflicts.
- Coordinate, prepare and distribute daily, weekly and monthly reports.
- Provide proactive leadership for quality and safety programs.
- Provide proactive leadership and assist with QA/QC inspections of all building mechanical installations.
- Assist with project turnover and close-out including coordinating, tracking and collecting turnover documentation through the course of the project.
- Assist with the development of as-built drawings.

**Qualifications**
- Postsecondary education or training in engineering, construction management or related Red Seal Journeyman trade discipline.
- Minimum 2 years related experience in the mechanical construction industry is an asset.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, project health, safety and environment (HSE), quality mechanical building systems and required standards as per discipline.
- Ability to create and maintain a comprehensive schedule.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Understanding of decision-making authority and ability to present solutions.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Planning, organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize own work and delegate simple tasks.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and a strong aptitude to adopt new technology.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 15 months

Pay: $42.99-$43.00 per hour
