POSITION OVERVIEW
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality standards to ensure that production processes result in products that meet both internal specifications and customer expectations. This role involves supervising QA technicians, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement efforts in collaboration with production, engineering, and other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise the day-to-day activities of the QA team, ensuring that all quality control tasks are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Oversee the inspection of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with established quality standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and protocols to ensure that manufacturing processes meet regulatory requirements.
- Monitor production processes to identify and address quality issues, providing real-time feedback to production teams.
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards and regulatory requirements, while ensuring all documentation and records are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific guidelines in manufacturing.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and project management teams to develop corrective and preventative actions to prevent future defects.
- Ensure timely resolution of quality-related issued and track the implementation of corrective actions.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving product quality, reducing waste, and increasing manufacturing efficiencies.
- Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, audit findings, and corrective actions in compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Ensure all QA documents (e.g. SOP’s, inspection reports) are updated and maintained accurately.
- Participate in the interviewing, selection and hiring; and training of new and existing employees; authoring and discussing with employees’ performance appraisals, performance, and corrective action plans

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field (or Diploma plus equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in Quality Control or assembly of mechanical, electric, or electronic devices or systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
- Strong background in manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, or similar.
- Certification in quality assurance (e.g. Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing) is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g. ISO9001, ROHS, CSA etc.)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality data and implement improvements.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with production teams, management, and external auditors.
- Project Management experience is an asset.
