**Level II Systems Administrator/MSP Professional**
The Support Source (TSS) is celebrating its 20th year of operations in the GTA We provide day-to-day IT support, security, and consulting services to small and medium sized businesses, serving as their external IT department. TSS supports their computers, servers, virtualization, network connectivity, firewalls, storage, backups, websites, VOIP and IT security for our clients' systems. We are working on several upgrading and implementation projects and consulting is at the core of our services.
We are looking for someone great to join our team Located in downtown Toronto, TSS has an opening for a Level II Systems Administrator/MSP Professional. This position requires someone with strong technical skills, understands the pace and demands of an MSP environment, and is independent, collaborative, and willing to continuously learn the changing technology
**This is a remote position, but will occasionally require onsite support for clients throughout the GTA.**
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- **Level II or higher technical skills mandatory.**:
- **Minimum 5 years IT industry experience.**:
- **Minimum 3 years in an MSP environment.**:
- Strong Office 365, SharePoint, and Intune MDM skills.
- Install and maintain RDS and FSLogix environments.
- Configure and maintain physical, virtualized and cloud servers (Azure, AWS, etc.)
- Install and maintain Windows Server OS, AD, DNS, DHCP, VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.
- Install and maintain SAN and NAS storage.
- Plan, execute, and provide day-to-day technical support and administration.
- Accurately record, update, and document support requests, using Kaseya AutoTask.
- Engage in infrastructure planning, researching possible solutions and presenting design ideas.
- Assess industry trends and assist in implementing standards and best practices.
- Develop and document system standards for computer, network, security, and other devices, using Kaseya IT Glue.
- Maintain a variety of security standards and protocols.
- Recommend and schedule network changes and upgrades.
- Fulfill service agreements with exceptional professionalism, performance, availability, and security.
- Setup and configure all client software and hardware systems.
- Monitor client systems and identify potential and developing problems.
- Monitor storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery systems.
- Monitor firewall and network security and performance.
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance and conduct security tests.
- Responsible for clearly and accurately documenting client time.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend maintenance and installation work.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- **Must be currently a Level II or higher MSP System Administrator.**:
- **Must be employed by an MSP within the last 12 months.**:
- Bachelor's degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years experience in network or system administration, backups, and firewalls.
- 3+ years experience installing, configuring, and supporting Windows Server 2019, with recent Windows Server 2022 experience, including Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
- 3+ years experience IT helpdesk.
- 3+ years experience with vSphere and Hyper-V.
- 3+ years in-depth experience with Office 365 and related security protocols and settings.
- Strong communication skills to provide telephone and in-person support effectively and clearly to all levels of clients.
- Self-motivated and independent with the ability to work in a changing environment.
- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage daily tasks.
- Able to work BOTH independently and supervised.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Able to visit client sites in the GTA and climb stairs.
- Possess a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
- Patient and supportive with all users.
