**Policy Analyst (Intern) - Transportation - Thunder Bay**

Northern Policy Institute (NPI) is seeking a full-time Transportation Policy Analyst for a 1-year internship in **Thunder Bay, Ontario**. This position is ideal for those seeking a first position post-graduation or looking to bring their knowledge and experience to Northern Ontario.

The Policy Analyst (Intern) will be responsible for exploring the challenges and opportunities of providing safer, more reliable transportation to rural and remote communities who are increasingly being impacted by a shortening winter road season. The work will explore options available to not just support economic activity but to also improve the quality of life in many regions of Northern Ontario.

NPI values the ability to engage with communities in multiple languages. **An increment of $1,500 over and above the base salary is available for those who can fluently speak** **Anishinaabemowin, Oji-Cree, Cree, Michif or French, as well as English** in a professional setting.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
