**Duties and Responsibilities**:
This position requires a high degree of interaction with Software Developers and Business Users with a focus on Systems Operations and Evolution.
- Provide training sessions and documentation on software used by Trading Operations.
- Assist and support IIROC and FINRA Compliance reporting
- Assist Trading and Operations teams to define requirements and develop business specifications for IT related system enhancements and initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the data and logs within the business system and interfaces.
- Carry out integration tests on new functions, assist in acceptance tests and participate in implementations.
- Maintain and create adhoc reporting queries using SQL.
- Create, modify and support interfaces to core systems and databases.

**Qualifications**:

- College degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 3 + years’ experience in a similar role (Trading/Investment industry an asset)
- Organizational skills, initiative and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to work under pressure when required.
- Strong ability to learn, flexible to change.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to establish effective interpersonal relations.
- Highly customer service oriented.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Ability to analyse system problems and determine patterns and root causes.
- Experience with SQL, Excel Macros, Scripting languages
- Knowledge of various technologies (and an ability to learn others) including; Java, Python, JIRA, Data Analysis, Reporting Tools.
- Knowledge of Linux OS, Java and Oracle DB an asset.
- Knowledge of Finance Platforms like Bloomberg, SWIFT, CTM an asset
- Experience in Finance (trading) an asset
- Knowledge of test frameworks / test automation an asset
- Knowledge of Industry Applications an asset (SWIFT, CTM, FIX,)
