**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**Duties**:
- Provide project management support to the Fish and Aquatics team, and other Water Program
teams, for a variety of environmental programs encompassing monitoring studies, physical works,
- consultative processes, and other fish technical programs.- As a Project Manager on various projects, provide contract management, financial management,
contractor safety requirements, and procurement. This may include the usage of PM tools like
- Primavera P6 to track progress, spend and resourcing.- Help develop and support the implementation of engagement plans with Indigenous Groups,
regulatory agencies, and regional stakeholders, including facilitating technical forums regarding
- Fish and Aquatics programs. This may include decision support and usage of tools, like Structured
- Decision Making (SDM).- Ensure quality assurance by engaging peers or experts to review study designs and outputs to
determine quality, accuracy, and adequacy of methods and results for addressing management
- questions and objectives guiding the work.- Integrate work with other disciplines (e.g., safety, environmental field services, and operations
management) through pro-active communication, team meetings, work planning and information
- exchange.- Develop and present internal recommendation documents, including the preparation of business
cases (expense authorization requests) budget requests and contract requests.- Review, edit, and present project reports and, at completion, finalize all financial transactions
and complete final reports.- Communicate with various regulators, including the Department of Fisheries and Oceans,
Comptroller of Water Rights, and regional regulators from the provincial government, seeking
- program relief or extensions based on the outcomes of technical forums and internal review of
- studies.- Lead other resources to assist in the implementation of the program.

- Minimum of eight (8) years' related experience with relevant experience in environmental project
management and stakeholder engagement. Experience with hydroelectric operation and
- construction would be an asset.- Bachelor or graduate degree in biology, environmental sciences, environmental engineering, or
resource management.- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Eligibility for professional designation is an asset (e.g., professional Biologist, Project
Management Professional, or Engineer)- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Conflict resolution skills and experience would be an asset.
- Good planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and strong internal and external relationship skills.
- Good technical writing, editing, and presentation skills.
- Experience engaging Indigenous Groups and/or stakeholders over controversial issues.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Considerable project management knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrated usage of decision frameworks (e.g., Structured Decision Making) or trade-off
analysis is an asset.- Other relevant experience may include familiarity with: Primavera 6, Project and Portfolio
Management, project management tools, and statistical analysis.**ADDITIONAL INFORMATION**

- As part of the selection process, applicants may be required to take a written test/assessment or
do a presentation.
- A condition of employment for this role is to maintain your Class 5 Driver's License in good
standing.
