Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Weekly payroll
- Verify and validate daily financial transactions, make monthly journal entries, and correct any necessary adjustments. **Knowledge of CMEQ software is a must**:

- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely payments are tracked.
- Prepare and review interim financial statements.
- Verify bank reconciliations and ensure their accuracy.
- Assist in preparing files for the annual audit and manage relationships with external auditors.
- Prepare and submit tax filings while ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting data and regularly update financial records while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.
- Manage and update the group insurance
- Support Project managers and president with administrative tasks

**Experience**.
- Certificate in accounting and/or bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position in the construction industry with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in **CMEQ software is mandatory** and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability for tasks.
- Must be bilingual
- French and English both written and spoken

**Spécialiste en comptabilité / Comptable**

**Principales responsabilités**:

- Paie hebdomadaire
- Vérifier et valider les transactions financières quotidiennes, effectuer des écritures mensuelles et corriger les ajustements nécessaires. **La connaissance des logiciels CMEQ est indispensable**:

- Gérer les comptes clients et les comptes fournisseurs, en veillant à ce que les paiements soient suivis en temps opportun.
- Préparer et examiner les états financiers intermédiaires.
- Vérifier les réconciliations bancaires et s'assurer de leur exactitude.
- Aider à préparer les dossiers pour l'audit annuel et gérer les relations avec les vérificateurs externes.
- Préparer et soumettre les déclarations de revenus tout en veillant au respect des délais réglementaires.
- Assurer l'intégrité des données comptables et mettre à jour régulièrement les registres financiers tout en maintenant la conformité aux normes comptables et aux règlements applicables.
- Maintenir à jour les assurances collectives
- Soutenir les gestionnaires de projet et le président dans les tâches administratives

**Expérience**.
- Certificat en comptabilité et/ou baccalauréat en comptabilité
- Minimum de 7 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire dans l'industrie de la construction avec une solide compréhension des principes et des pratiques comptables.
- La maîtrise du **logiciel CMEQ est obligatoire** et de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellentes compétences organisationnelles et de gestion du temps.
- Capacité de travailler en collaboration au sein d'un environnement d'équipe tout en maintenant la responsabilité individuelle des tâches.
- Doit être bilingue - français et anglais à l'écrit et à l'oral
