Are you a tech-savvy problem solver with a passion for maintaining secure and efficient information systems? HERD’s IT Department is looking for an **Information Systems Administrator** to join the team

**Your Role**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Systems Administration and Support**:

- Manage and maintain servers, databases, and network infrastructure.
- Install and update software, operating systems, and security patches.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources.
- Provide technical support to end-users and manage help desk tickets.
- Ensure data integrity with regular backups and disaster recovery planning.

**Network and Security Management**:

- Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks.
- Enforce security measures such as access controls and vulnerability assessments.
- Proactively monitor for and mitigate potential security risks or breaches.
- Conduct security audits and ensure regulatory compliance.

**User Training and Documentation**:

- Train end-users on systems and software for effective use.
- Create and maintain system documentation and user manuals.
- Assist in developing IT policies, procedures, and guidelines.

**System Upgrades and Project Management**:

- Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve system functionality.
- Collaborate with teams to define project goals and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, manage risks, and ensure successful outcomes.

**What We’re Looking For**
- A proactive team player with strong technical expertise and a desire to create value for the company.
- Relevant certifications like MCSA, CompTIA Network+, or CISSP are a bonus.
- Strong communication skills to absorb and embody our company vision and objectives.
