**Professional Payroll Administrator Job Description** **Position: Payroll Administrator** **Overview**: The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing semi-monthly salary, hourly, and sales commission-based payroll for over 220 employees using Ceridian Dayforce software. This role requires maintaining clear and accurate documentation, reconciling payroll with the general ledger, and assisting with year-end payroll processing. The Payroll Administrator will enforce company policies and perform all functions with a controls-based mindset while liaising with employees and various external agencies. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Payroll Processing**: - Process semi-monthly salary, hourly, and sales commission-based payroll for 220+ employees using Ceridian Dayforce software. - Ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. - **Documentation and Record-Keeping**: - Maintain clear documentation of all payroll documents, spreadsheets, reimbursements, deductions, and adjustments. - Keep accurate records for all employees concerning payroll, benefits, and RRSPs. - **Reconciliation and Audits**: - Reconcile payroll with the general ledger. - Maintain accurate vacation records. - Assist with year-end payroll processing, including T4's, T2200's, and external reconciliations and audits. - **Policy Enforcement and Controls**: - Enforce company policies regarding payroll. - Perform all functions with a controls-based mindset to ensure compliance and accuracy. - **Liaison and Communication**: - Liaise with employees, CRA, Service Canada, WSIB, Court offices, and other agencies to answer inquiries and complete necessary payroll-related documents. **Qualifications**: - Proven experience as a Payroll Administrator (5+ years) - **Proficiency with Ceridian Dayforce software (2-3 years mandatory)**: - **Previous experience with ADP (2-3 years mandatory)**: - **Previous experience with SAGE is an added benefit**: - Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) Certification. (mandatory) - Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards legislation. - Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with proficiency in lookups and pivots. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-suite products. - Strong problem-solving skills and a "positive can-do attitude". - Very well organized, highly detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment using various online software packages. - Ability to accurately enter, analyze, and organize data. - Ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet monthly goals and deadlines. - Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience working with and managing sensitive and confidential information. **Work Environment**: - Fast-paced office environment. - Collaborative team setting, while working independently **Application Process**: **ABOUT US**: La-Z-Boy is a leading residential home furnishings provider in Canada and all over the world, La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries is part of 13 independently owned locations in Ontario.
