**Role Description**

The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing process on a daily basis. This includes translating customer order expectations into specific production requirements, coordinating resources, and overseeing the production process to meet scheduled delivery timelines for parts and products.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Plan, schedule, and direct production activities for optimal execution.
- Monitor and follow up with the third party vendors to ensure all work orders meet deadlines.
- Ensure the shop is equipped with the necessary tools, materials, and workforce for efficient production.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of work orders and purchase orders to avoid discrepancies.
- Prevent non-conforming tools or gauges from being used in the manufacturing and QC processes.
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to meet scheduled goals and deliverables.
- Purchase adequate supplies and tooling to maintain smooth shop operations.
- Ensure all parts are manufactured according to design specifications.
- Create and receive purchase orders promptly to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Facilitate clear communication between departments to resolve production bottlenecks and streamline workflow.

**Education / Qualifications**:

- Basic technical knowledge relevant to manufacturing processes and tools.
- Willingness to pursue further education or training to continuously improve skills.

**Relevant Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of production planning experience in a related industry.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in production coordination or a supervisory role, is preferred.
