**Role Overview**:
The Internal Auditor, based in our Toronto office, will assist in the evaluation of internal controls for our Sarbanes-Oxley and the National Instrument 52-109 requirements (ICFR). This position will participate in the execution of various internal audit projects and provide support for compliance reporting. The Internal Auditor will be expected to provide detailed data analytics and will have experience with analytical tools such as ACL or Power BI.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist in maintaining the internal controls documentation including narratives and control matrices;
- Assist with preparing annual risk assessment, scoping, and planning of internal controls program;
- Work directly with external auditors, consultants, and site management to implement the internal controls plan;
- Perform testing to assess the design and operating efficiency of internal controls;
- Provide data analytic support to the Internal Audit function as needed for various projects;
- Prepare written reports to management and the audit committee;
- Assist with follow-up reviews to ensure timely remediation of control gaps;
- Assist with performing internal audit projects and investigations;
- Pursue continuous professional development opportunities and be highly motivated by opportunities for growth; and
- An ability to travel up to 30% (up to 2 week intervals).

**Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- CPA or equivalent foreign designation;
- 3+ years of audit experience in public accounting, the extractive resource industry (mining, oil and gas) or manufacturing;
- Experience in a SOX or NI-52-109 environment an asset;
- Understanding of the COSO and COBIT framework with strong technical audit skills;
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation);
- Able to multi-task skills and manage time to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to analyze, evaluate, and provide practical and valuable recommendations;
- Strive to display excellent interpersonal ability and high levels of tactfulness to work well with diverse partners;
- Experience with SAP an asset;
- Experience with ACL or Power BI an asset; and
- Spanish and/or French language skill an asset.
