**Job Description: CNC Senior Router Operator**
**Reports To**: Production Manager

**Job Overview**:
The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the machine to produce parts according to specifications. This position involves loading and unloading materials, set-up, monitoring the production process, and ensuring that parts meet quality standards. The Operator works closely with other production team members.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Machine Operation**:

- Set up and operate CNC router to cut, or engrave materials (e.g., wood, plastic, metal, composite) based on production requirements.
- Select and load materials onto the CNC machine bed, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and precision.
- **Programming & Setup**:

- Input or modify CNC machine programs to meet specific job requirements and production schedules.
- Set machine parameters, including speed, cutting depth, tool selection, and other settings based on material and part specifications.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect cut parts for accuracy & quality.
- Perform visual inspections to detect defects or errors in finished products.
- **Maintenance and Safety**:

- Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools, materials, and machinery are safely stored and accessible.
- **Production Efficiency**:

- Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet deadlines and minimize downtime.
- Communicate any issues or delays to the supervisor or production manager to ensure timely resolutions.
- Report any deviations from production schedules, machine malfunctions, or quality concerns to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine maintenance, and quality inspections.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing is preferred.
- **Experience**:

- At least 1 year of experience operating CNC flatbed machines or similar CNC equipment.
- Experience with a variety of material (e.g., metal, wood, plastics)
- Enroute software experience an asset.
- Creative Cloud - Primarily Adobe Illustrator experience.
- **Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Knowledge of CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills.

**Physical Requirements**:

- lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity to handle precision instruments and small parts.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
