Position Offered: Permanent Full-Time CNC Operator

Location: Edmonton, AB

For over 3 decades, CRC Wellhead Supply Co Ltd in Edmonton has been the industry-leading supplier of select wellhead parts and equipment for custom projects across North America. We are a medium size machine shop in the southeast of Edmonton and currently have 30 full-time staff. We are currently looking for 2 CNC Operators to fill the vacancy within our team - 1 on a day shift and 1 on a night shift. This position requires highly motivated and versatile persons.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** (including but not limited to)
- Perform set-ups on the CNC machine according to the production schedules.
- Perform all tasks in a safe & responsible manner, adhering to the Company’s Quality & Safety Procedures.
- Produce machined parts by operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality & safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment & supplies.
- Use gages & measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
- Recognize, deploy and properly use inserts, fixtures & tooling.
- Set up mills & lathes by installing & adjusting three
- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces.
- Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, & cutting, including turning, facing, deburr, and threading; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions’ troubleshooting processes; adhering to quality assurance procedures & processes.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting & communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Consistently display a sense of urgency in meeting all deadlines and goals, keeping in mind that quality and timeliness are of paramount importance to management and our customers.
- Must keep workstation and equipment clean daily & maintenance up to date.
- Assist other CNC Operators with repairs or replacement work if necessary.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Trade Certification is an asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience with CNC machines
- Must have Basic hand tools and mechanical knowledge.
- Must have experience with tolerances (+/-.001).
- Must be familiar with Fanuc, G-codes, M-codes, lathes, and mills.
- Must be able to understand and properly use inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
- Must be able to effectively change machinery for multiple set-ups & make minor modifications.
- Must possess strong attention to detail & communication skills.
- Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical computations.
- Must have the ability to read & interpret manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to operate Forklift abiding by all Safety Regulations

**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
- The employee is regularly required to stand for a prolonged period of time.
- The employee must have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs. maximum; frequent lifting and/or carrying up to 20 lbs.; be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks.

**POSITION DETAILS**
- Day Shift - Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- Overtime and Saturday Shift may be required dependent on Business conditions
- Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 4:30 pm to 2:30 am. (premium pay)
- Employee Compensation Package after a successful 3-month probationary period.
- Wage is negotiable based on experience.

**Salary**: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
