**Assignment**: Orchestral Literature Survey I & II (ADP)

**Location**: 273 Bloor Street West, Toronto (RCM Main Building)
**Wage Range**: $100 - $125 per hour
**Academic Term**: 2024-2025 Academic Year / Term 1 & Term 2
**Start Date**: September 2024

The Royal Conservatory of Music’s Glenn Gould School (GGS) is seeking an instructor to teach ADP Orchestral Literature Survey I and II for a one-year term as a leave replacement. These courses cover the standard orchestral literature from the 18th to the mid-20th century, drawing in part from works performed by the Royal Conservatory Orchestra and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Weekly lectures and assignments focused on score study and historical analysis are major components of the course.\
- This course meets once a week for 1.5 hours, for a total of 24 weeks (Fall and Spring Terms) on Tuesdays from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m._

**Job Requirements**:
**What We're Looking For**:

- Qualifications should include extensive experience as an orchestral conductor and university-level teaching experience. A thorough familiarity with standard orchestral repertoire is required.

**Additional Information**:

- The selection process may include an audition and/or a mock teaching assignment.
- The successful applicant will be expected to submit a week-by-week course outline.
