Our clients range from the hottest scale-ups in North America to renowned public tech companies. **THE ROLE** **We're in search of a Product Owner to join our team. If the term "scrum" resonates more with you than "waterfall," and you have a passion for Data & Analytics, then this role is tailor-made for you** At Datatonic, Product Owners work within an agile Pod made up of Data/Analytics Engineers and Business Intelligence Developers on some of our clients' most challenging work: custom data pipelines, data warehouse migration, advanced data modelling and great dashboard experiences. You'll be the custodian of value delivery and support your fantastic teammates on agile methodology while making us a better company with your ideas and initiatives. **In this role, you can expect to**: - Build an excellent understanding of the modern data stack, including machine learning and AI use cases - Engage with and advise clients on their analytics initiatives - Represent the client within the development team - Create and refine the product backlog by understanding business requirements from stakeholders and articulating them into epics and user stories - Negotiate the acceptance criteria with the client for each user story - Make key decisions and prioritize work for the development team - Create and maintain documentation - Demonstrate transparency and manage client expectations - Help identify new business opportunities within existing clients **Qualifications**: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Owner in an IT-related field. - Previous experience in managing data projects. - PSPO certification or equivalent/related qualification. - Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate information to a wide variety of internal and external audiences. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. - University degree in STEM, preferably in information technology, project management, or related fields. - Fluency in English. **Bonus points**: - Familiarity with the Modern Data Stack and Google Cloud products. - Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese. **Perks of working with us**: - 20 days paid vacation - 5 Wellness days (sickness, personal time, etc) - 5 flexible lifestyle days - Group Retirement Savings Plan - Group insurance (extended health & dental) - individual premium paid 100% - 100% employer-paid Tele-medicine - Home office budget - We are 100% remote - CAD $70/month (paid quarterly) for internet/phone expenses - CAD $1,500 every 3 years for tech accessories and office equipment (monitor, keyboard, mouse, desk, etc.) starting on Day 1 - Company-supplied MacBook Pro - CAD $400/year for books (including a reading device if you need one) - Opportunities for paid certifications - Full access to Udemy Business for professional and personal learning - Regular company off-sites and meetups **_ Datatonic is a UK based company with an Americas division based in Canada.
