Graz is a busy, family owned, year round restaurant located in the heart of Bobcaygeon. We are looking for Full time/Permanent Servers to join our team.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Promptly welcome guests to the restaurant in a friendly and professional manner.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and guest experience.
- Serve orders for food and beverages while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests.
- Demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu and ingredients in order to advise guests as necessary.
- Communicate effectively directly with kitchen staff to ensure that orders are delivered correctly, to the highest quality, and special requests are accommodated.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to get along well with others.
- Assist other members of the team with the delivery of food orders, beverages and clearing tables when necessary.
- Follow proper cash-handling procedures.
- Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to the General Manager.
- Ensure that the restaurant is properly set up prior to and after the service period including restocking supplies and the bar.
- Handle, store and rotate all products properly.
- Keep all areas of the restaurant, including the washrooms, clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- A diploma in Hospitality preferred.
- Proven experience in a similar capacity (at least 1 year).
- Smart Serve Certificate required.
- Must be able to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel and guests.
**Working Conditions**:
- Must be able to work days, evenings and weekends.
- Be able to work longer than an 8 hour shift on occasion.
- Be able to work in hot and cold environments.
- Be able to work with chemicals used for cleaning.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: $17.20 per hour
