**Lead Hand**:
**Job Summary**:

- Deliver all parcels the same day for which they have been tendered;
- Clear all street Letter Boxes & Retail Postal Outlets in accordance with the times set forth;
- Complete Depot Transfers in accordance with times set forth;
- Deliver all Relay Bags in a timely manner to assure that there are no disruptions to the Delivery Agent’s route schedule;
- Complete Customer pick-ups & deliveries on-time & in accordance with the schedule pick up & delivery requirement;
- Complete all other duties in a timely manner, such as but not limited to Directs, LVR’s, LVM’s & shuttles;
- Assure that the mail is protected from theft, weather & other damages;
- You will perform vehicle safety checks;
- You will complete documentation and maintain records;
- You will communicate with customers;
- Must use all tools provided to ensure delivery efficiency;
- Check devices, keys, and all on road equipment daily;
- Takes daily attendance and assigns duties to DA's based on experience and area knowledge;
- Encourage road safety with each DA and ensure that each DA is performing vehicle inspection through Fleetio;
- Ensure routes are correct and communicate all adjustments back to station managers to change route assignments on the fly;
- Maintain DA overtime and working compliance hours;
- Execute all Canada Post processes and procedures as per SOP;
- Conduct vehicle inspections and communicate damages;
- Report any daily challenges like on road conflicts or accidents on road, driver abuse to the client, and management to Senior Management and Human Resources;
- Keep a close supervision on vehicle damages as well as on their repairs and reporting them daily to manager and coordinating with Concern department for any van issues and maintaining the traceability of all the issues related to fleet;
- Other duties may be assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Punctuality and reliable attendance are a requirement for this role
- Clean criminal background check
- Clean driver's abstract
- Valid G class license
- Full-time with weekend flexibility
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Two valid pieces of Government Identification and 5 Years of Residential History information required

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- cargo van driving: 2 years (preferred)
- delivery driving: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class G Licence (required)
