**Job Summary**
Reporting to the Manager of Manufacturing the Supervisor of Processing is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily processing operations within a department or organization. This position involves managing a team, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high-quality standards in cannabis processing tasks.
**Responsibilities / Duties**:
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Oversee safety initiatives within the department.
- Contribute to department compliance, and training efforts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and efficiency of production areas.
- Assist in ongoing audits to ensure adherence to all mandated compliance.
- **Manufacturing Coordination**:
- Coordinate all department activities to achieve goals.
- Ensure effective communication within the group and across all functions/shifts.
- Interact with various groups to facilitate smooth operations.
- **Material and Operations Control**:
- Manage the control of all material flows within the department.
- **Problem Solving and Improvement**:
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within the department.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- **Quality Control**:
- Instill quality control measures to produce high-quality products.
- Review and implement all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of processing procedures, guidelines, and workflows.
- **Performance Evaluation**:
- Evaluate the performance of processing team members, providing feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
- **Training and Communication**:
- Ensure thorough and effective training within responsible departments. Effectively communicate departmental results through team discussions and documents
**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**
- **Leadership**: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- **Process Management**: Strong understanding of processing workflows and the ability to manage tasks efficiently.
- **Quality Control**: Knowledge of quality control principles to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- **Problem-Solving**: Effective problem-solving skills to address processing issues and implement improvements.
- **Communication Skills**: Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with team members and other stakeholders.
- **Training and Development**: Experience in training and developing staff to enhance their skills and performance.
**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in processing operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Familiarity with processing software and tools.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
