The Provincial Infrastructure Policy Unit in the Infrastructure Policy Branch is seeking a Team Lead who will provide expert policy advice and project leadership in a fast-paced environment to shape strategic, evidence-based infrastructure planning and investments across government. This includes infrastructure sectors such as hospitals, schools, long-term care, public transit, highways, and other high-priority provincial infrastructure projects. **The Division** The Infrastructure Strategy, Policy and Research Division (ISPRD) provides strategic advice on infrastructure capital plan proposals develops policies and programs, legislation and regulations to accelerate delivery of the capital plan, and refines strategic approaches to capital planning and coordination of provincial infrastructure spending. Refer to the "How to apply" section if you require a disability-related accommodation. **What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will: - Provide policy leadership and expertise to support the development of policies to support the efficient delivery of Ontario's capital plan - Provide strategic advice on cross-sectoral priorities for provincial infrastructure investments - Build partnerships and lead and manage collaboration with other capital ministries, Infrastructure Ontario and central agencies in the delivery of MOI's policy agenda. **How do I qualify?**: **Leadership and Project Management Skills**: You can: - demonstrate project management and organizational abilities to lead multiple concurrent research and analytical projects. - lead multi-disciplinary and cross-ministry teams to identify and determine project scope, deliverables and timelines within the overall long term project plan. - provide team leadership, organize and supervise work, review deliverables and lead and mentor team members. - demonstrate independent decision-making in an area of on-going demands and conflicting priorities under sometimes limited guidance or direction. **Communication & Stakeholder Relationship Skills**: You can: - liaise with internal/external stakeholders and consultants with respect to infrastructure research and planning. - build stakeholder relationships, gather information, obtain data, develop consensus, collaborate on assessing and determining priorities, and identify and resolve concerns/ issues. - brief senior management on issues and respond with added value and proposed solutions for risk mitigation; provide advice and prepare/present reports, position papers, and proposals - represent the province's long-term infrastructure planning strategy to ministries; and advise on priority-setting. - prepare evidence-based analysis and briefing papers, and lead the preparation of Treasury Board and Cabinet submissions. **Research and Analytical Skills**: You have: - research and analytical skills to gather information, synthesize, undertake, and lead policy development and financial/statistical analysis. - analytical, strategic thinking and issue management skills to implement an integrated and efficient infrastructure plan
