**A Day in Your Life at MKS**:
As a Product Support Technician at Atotech Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of MKS Instruments, Inc., you will play a key role in maintaining high service standards and supporting the company’s revenue objectives. This position directly impacts on customer satisfaction and contributes to overall sales performance. You will report to the Technical Center Manager.

**You Will Make an Impact By**:

- Performing routine and specialized Material Science testing, including hardness testing, microscopy, thickness measurements, and cross-section preparation.
- Troubleshooting based on test data and discussing findings and recommendations with your supervisor.
- Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Providing test results and general technical information to field representatives and customers.
- Practicing safe lab procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.
- Understanding and managing chemical hazards in accordance with company and government regulations.
- Minimizing and managing hazardous waste generated from lab activities.

**Skills You Bring**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a laboratory or technical support role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in using lab instruments such as microscopes, hardness testers, and thickness gauges.
- Familiarity with chemical safety protocols and hazardous waste handling.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

**Physical Demands and Working Conditions**:

- Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
- Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
- Must have the ability to lift and handle chemical and laboratory equipment
- Operates in a laboratory/manufacturing environment
- Noise levels in the work environment are typically moderate
- Occasional exposure to chemicals and fumes may occur; adherence to safety guidelines is mandatory

**Compensation**:
Salary Pay Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year. This range is a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience, education, training, operational and business needs and other considerations.
