We are hiring a Liquor Store Management Trainee to join our team

Under the direction of the Store Manager, the Liquor Store Management Trainee will learn the workings of our business while assisting in the overall operation of the store.

(Cashier/Trainee) *90/10%. This is role is diverse in nature as well as a necessity to the smooth operations of the store. Management Trainee will report directly to the Store Manager and is expected to keep a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. They will also act as a training supervisor for new and existing staff members, as well as a liaison between management and Sales Associates.

Duties include but are not limited to: ensure customers have a great shopping experience, coach and develop employees, ensure store compliance and assist the Manager with the annual operating plan, budget and goals; assist in the preparation of marketing and merchandising concepts; purchase liquor stock and maintain appropriate inventories, and establish store policies such as pricing and discount policies.The job requires attention to detail and a high level of patience, organization, and productivity to be successful.

**Duties you will learn and be responsible for**:

- **Purchasing and Budgeting**_
- Track money spent on daily and weekly orders
- Assist the Store Manager in developing and monitoring operating plan and budget
- Handle daily cash and bank deposits
- Track the progress of weekly, monthly, and annual objectives
- Purchase, establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Consult with various company reps regarding promotions and sale items
- Study product trends and customer preferences to determine what products should be part of the inventory.
- **In-store responsibilities**_
- Create and manage staff schedule
- Ensure product is stocked and stored so it can be retrieved efficiently and counted easily and accurately
- Handle day to day store management, responsible for keeping store tidy and orderly
- Handle Customer relations and complaint resolutions
- Delegate and prioritize daily tasks to staff
- Other duties as assigned
- **Training and Coaching**_
- Train and continue to coach new and existing employees
- Ensure customers have a great experience by teaching, coaching staff how to greet customers, discover their needs, make confident recommendations.
- Review, recommend and evaluate training programs to keep all staff informed and knowledgeable of store products laws and regulations
- Resolve staff issues as they arise
- Ensure all employees follow company guidelines
- Regular evaluations of employees and assistance with goals and objectives
- Demonstrate proper leadership and communication to staff

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:_Minimum High School Diploma
- **Specialized knowledge**:_
- Knowledge of liquor products and uses
- Familiar with basic office related programs
- Must have a valid “Serving It Right” certificate
- **Skills**:_
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Excellent decision making and problem resolution skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal and written
- Extraordinary customer service, organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills.
- Full Time availability for open and close shifts.
- **Abilities**:_
- Ability to multitask and complete projects on a deadline
- Ability to model great customer service
- Demonstrated ability to manage a retail operation
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, coach and mentor staff
- Experience with difficult customers, handling conflict
- **Physical requirements**:_
- Standing and walking continuously throughout the shift, and lifting of packaged beer and wine cases up to 30 lbs.
