**THE ROLE**:
SV Law has an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer within our busy Family Law Practice Group. You will be exposed to a broad range of matters, including separation, property division, divorce, custody and access, and support. You will be responsible for:

- meeting and communicating with clients to provide them with advice regarding their rights and obligations
- conducting and reviewing legal research
- drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating a variety of documents, including marriage contracts, cohabitation agreements, separation agreements, financial statements, pleadings, mediation briefs, etc.
- representing clients in alternative dispute resolution and court proceedings
- liaising with other professionals, including accountants, business and property valuators, and counselors

**WHAT YOU BRING**:
We are seeking a driven and talented lawyer with 0 to 2 years’ experience in Family Law to join our firm at our Guelph location and who:

- is a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- has knowledge of Family Law statutes, regulations, and procedures
- has the ability to effectively manage a high volume of work, is self-motivated and entrepreneurial
- has excellent research, drafting and negotiation skills, and is detail-oriented
- is eager to take the lead on files as the opportunity arises
- is team-oriented and collaborative
- has excellent oral communication and public speaking skills
- has an enthusiastic and responsive approach to client requirements with excellent people skills

Pay: From $89,000.00 per year
