E2 Academy is a growing, fully accredited small K-12 private school in Edmonton, Alberta that specializes in educating twice-exceptional students.

We are seeking dynamic individuals for full time Educational Assistant positions to make a lasting impact on children in an inclusive, fun and dynamic learning environment.

- We have multigrade classrooms with a maximum of eight students per room with at least one hands-on Learning Facilitator (Educational Assistant) and one teacher.

**ABOUT YOU**

- You have hands-on experience with twice-exceptionality and knowledge of a variety of diagnoses and challenges.
- You enjoy working collaboratively with a team and are passionate about cultivating an environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged.
- You understand that behaviors are a type of communication, and strive to translate these to support the student's needs.
- You possess strong verbal, written, organization and time management skills and are able to remain goal-focused while still flexible enough to respond to urgent needs.
- You are comfortable with various technologies and understand the need for individualized assistive technologies for the students

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Educational Assistant Certificate or comparable education.
- Courses related to working with students with special needs.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and/or Studio III non-violent intervention training.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
- Provide instructional and behavioral support with the lead teacher.
- Engage in creative solutions while working in a team-teaching model.
- Foster an environment that promotes interactive learning and help students with problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Oversee activities and supervise students at all times.
- Develop positive relationships and open communication with students and their families.
- Clean and sterilize the classroom daily.

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
