Position Overview:
A Facilitator creates a psychologically safe learning environment in a group and is highly skilled in facilitating, training, workshops, and events. The role of a Facilitator is to guide groups towards achieving their objectives by ensuring that everyone is heard, all perspectives are considered, and decisions are made collaboratively. A Facilitator is accountable for delivering world class facilitation for in person, virtual and on demand courses and programs. The Facilitator ensures training and events are successful in achieving their objectives, and that all participants leave feeling engaged and satisfied with the outcome.
**Job Description**:
Facilitation:
- Manage group dynamics.
- Promote active participation.
- Encourage collaboration and communication.
Planning and Preparation:
- Plan and prepare training sessions, workshops, and events.
- Identify the objectives, develop an agenda, select appropriate materials and tools.
- Stays current on learning methodologies and trends to deliver best in class facilitation.
Content Development:
- Conduct industry research to support development of new content and programs.
- Review of course and program materials to ensure relevancy and current content.
Assessment and Evaluation:
- Assess the effectiveness of the training or workshop and evaluate whether the objectives have been achieved. This includes gathering feedback from participants and using it to improve future sessions.
- Managing attendance and transcripts.
Leadership:
- Indirectly leading a team of facilitators.
- Partner with other stakeholders to ensure the success of a project, training or event.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management, or Education.
- 3+ years of experience in facilitating group meetings, trainings and events at different levels in the business.
- 5+ years of previous HR or Learning related experience.
- Certification in adult education, facilitation or related field would be an asset
- Experience of writing and delivering training
- Proven proficiency in virtual delivery of training
- Situational Leadership designation would be an asset
