**The Opportunity**
Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Capital Projects, this role is responsible for supporting project managers within the PMO with the coordination of capital project delivery. The Coordinator, Project Management Office (PMO) assists with managing project schedules and budgets; coordinating work of project teams; and with the support of the Supervisor and other Project Managers, may lead work packages or small projects.
As the Coordinator, Project Management Office, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Coordinate the maintenance of project artifacts and corporate asset records as part of the ongoing management and closure of projects in accordance with the Town’s Record Retention procedures.
- Maintaining and managing PMO templates and procedures
- Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned
- Make responsible purchases with approval, and within established guidelines
- Review, validate and process invoices for capital projects and operating expenses to ensure they meet the reporting and payment requirements of the Construction Act and project milestones. Coordinate sign-off with the project manager and project sponsor, or work directly with vendor to correct any issues
- Support project managers with the maintenance of committed funds to ensure projects remain on budget.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure RFP/Ts are created, reviewed and issued on time to maintain schedule commitments
- Support the Manager, Project Management Office with the collection of status reports on projects across the corporation and populating a data that illustrates the program and portfolio performance.
Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Additional knowledge of Project, Smartsheet, CAD, BIM, Bluebeam would be an asset.
This position offers a wage rate of $41.70 - $51.10 per hour.
