The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Manager, Community Engagement Services, this role is responsible for managing community projects in the Community Engagement Services division. The Project Manager, Community Projects will mobilize local resources to ensure collaboration with various teams comprised of both internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects and strategies that will improve the overall Community Services portfolio at the Town of Caledon. These projects focus on developing culture initiatives that are community‑facing, including public art, placemaking, and community engagement and support, making Caledon a more vibrant place to live. This position requires mobilizing, coordinating, and executing deliverables in the Recreation and Culture Strategy, engaging with key stakeholders and residents, and pursuing external funding opportunities. Key Responsibilities Oversee the design, implementation, and management of projects that impact community, culture, and public spaces as outlined in council and corporate work plans. Lead the management of key corporate project initiatives aligned with Council’s strategic priorities while ensuring projects are standardized, delivered on time, and on budget. Provide direction and coordination to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including task forces, community groups, and cross‑functional teams. Identify gaps in services and implement initiatives to expand offerings for residents. Develop agreements with vendors, negotiate funding, and create community service agreements with partners. Listen to ideas presented by residents, assist with the development of ideas, and design programmes that translate ideas into operational activities. Collaborate with residents, government, contractors, and community agencies on strategic partnerships to deliver objectives of the Recreation and Culture strategy. Seek out external funding opportunities and manage grants and associated reporting. Support departmental budget decisions to promote fiscal responsibility. Ensure projects align with industry‑standard project management frameworks, continuous evaluation of goals, and objectives. Develop overall project timelines, budgets, detailed product design specifications, and effective reporting. Work collaboratively with stakeholder groups to ensure full engagement and compliance with partnership agreements. Support the Manager/Commissioner/CAO in strengthening relationships by coordinating key messaging, presentations, meetings, and preparing reports. Perform additional duties and undertake special projects as assigned. Maintain responsibility for assigned duties within the departmental and/or corporate Strategic Plan and Recreation and Culture Strategy. Participate in all mandatory training requirements. Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Town of Caledon Policies and Procedures, and established industry guidelines. Ideal Candidate Project Management Professional (PMP) designation or equivalent. Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Community Development, or a related field. Minimum 3‑year related experience in community development, special projects, and stakeholder management. Certifications in project management quality assurance (Six Sigma), change management, strategic planning, or municipal administration are considered an asset. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to exercise discretion and sensitivity with confidential data. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including after hours, as required. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $96,512.66 – $120,640.83 plus a competitive benefit package. Required Qualifications Satisfactory passing of a criminal record check and proof of qualifications will be required of any successful candidate.
