**Department Overview**: Do you love taking on tough challenges? We need an experienced technical writer, who is all about the end-user. If you know how to create exceptional technical content that helps customers succeed, Motorola Fixed Video wants you You are a dynamic, self-motivated, and experienced technical writer who would join our team to primarily focus on documentation for our hardware products (new and existing), plus help in migrating and rebranding existing documentation sets including installation guides, integration guides, and datasheets. You may also assist in writing documentation for software products and content for other products as our portfolio grows
**- Lead the migration of existing documentation from Microsoft Word or PDF into Madcap Flare.
- Plan, write, and publish documentation for software/hardware releases and new product introductions, as the main writer or part of a team. Create user-friendly documentation that prioritizes customer experience.
- Driving and executing improvements through cross-functional collaboration and leading by influence.
- Improve processes and tools through collaboration with others and creative problem-solving.
- Identify, suggest and champion new solutions to improve documentation quality and customer content experience.
- Analyzing processes, tools, and deliverables to identify areas for improvement within the team and for collaboration across the business.
- Assist with the evolution of our approach to customer-first content, collaborating with and managing change with organizations like Engineering, UX, Training, Support & Marketing.
- Assist with onboarding and mentoring to enable team growth.
- Adapt to constraints through open collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Work with cross-functional teams to review and finalize the documentation for the product release and to maintain the documentation after release.

**Qualifications**:

- A relevant bachelor's degree and 1 years of experience technical writing for software or hardware documentation, or 3+ years of technical writing experience
- Strong proficiency in Madcap Flare and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and InDesign)
- Experience creating HTML-first documentation where every page is page one, as well as other publication types
- Knowledge of git-based source control and localization workflows
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
