IKEA COQUITLAM is currently hiring for a part-time job in the following areas: - SMALAND CO-WORKER, 12-20h (kids play area) Interviews will be on April 20th. INTERVIEWS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL RECEIVE A TEXT/SMS TO CONFIRM THEIR APPOINTEMNT. - You are enthusiastic about working with children
- You can prioritize, are disciplined, show initiative and have a flexible attitude
- You have at least 6 months of Customer Service experience in a retail environment (preferably) - You are as cool as a cucumber under pressure, and can take charge of an urgent situation, even if it means to quickly go get your Manager for help - You are totally cool working in a physically demanding, fast-paced, work environment What you'll be doing day to day:
- May be assigned to Information desk at the front to assist customers with general inquiries
- Ensure a positive shopping experience by greeting visitors, being visible and available always and managing first contact resolution
- Responsible for registering, assisting and supervising registered children - Ensure the environment is playful and fun
- Communicate with parents if there is an issue or concern
- Always actively participating in the children’s safety and security - Advise all children of the Smaland rules and policies while their parents are present and ensure parents are aware of all Smaland policies and rules - Maintain supplies and ensure work area is kept clean and hazard-free
