Who you are
- You enjoy creative thinking supported by commercial visual competence and you have a keen eye for aesthetics.
- You have 2-3 years experience of working as a visual merchandiser in a fast-paced retail environment with a higher education in visual merchandising, industrial design or art.
- You have a passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and IKEA product range and are enthusiastic about explaining new concepts verbally and interpreting them visually.
- You are driven to exceed goals and actively improving your capabilities, setting priorities and organising your own work in order to make the most efficient use of the time available.
- You possess a flexible, hands-on approach to responsibilities and capable to provide range presentation solutions that improve people’s life at home, exceed customers’ expectations and ensure unique shopping experiences.
- You have considerable communication and interpersonal skills with the aptitude to develop creative ideas and concepts while collaborating effectively with others.

**A day in your life with us**
- Demonstrate the uniqueness of the IKEA product range through your visual merchandising competence and ensure the use of the store layout to create a good product overview and strong visual impact that facilitates the buying process.
- Actively contribute to gathering and translating knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market into an insightful range presentation that supports a convenient shopping experience.
- Stay up to date and knowledgeable about home furnishing and retailing trends to inspire and surprise customers with a strong visual impression.
- Respect all work routines and responsibilities and also collaborate with the Com&In team and other functions to promptly act on commercial opportunities as they arise.
- Ensure high quality, simplicity, efficiency and cost consciousness in the planning and implementation of all range presentation solutions.
- Keep customers in mind when working on the shop floor, always minimize disruption and remain aware of the importance of safety.
- Assist in designing and implementing relevant, meaningful, affordable and commercial range products’ presentation that feature a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our customers’ expectations.
- Actively contribute to the department’s action plan and to the development of vitality initiatives that will grow the business and support long term profitability.
