**Overview**

As a key member of our dental office, you will contribute significantly to the comfort and care of our patients while assisting our dental professionals in delivering high-quality dental care.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Patient Care**: Assist in providing comprehensive care to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout their visit. Prepare and manage patients for dental procedures, including taking medical histories and answering patient questions.
- **Clinical Assistance**: Support the dentist during various dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment. Assist with chair-side duties, including suctioning, passing instruments, and providing patient education on post-procedure care.
- **Sterilization and Infection Control**: Maintain high standards of sterilization and infection control practices. Properly clean and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to office protocols and health regulations.
- **Administrative Duties**: Manage patient records accurately and confidentially. Assist with scheduling and confirming patient appointments, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
- **Equipment and Inventory**: Monitor and manage dental supplies and equipment inventory. Ensure that all dental tools and machinery are in good working order and report any issues to the office manager.
**Additional Responsibilities**
- **Patient Education**: Educate patients on dental hygiene practices and post-procedure care. Provide instructions on how to maintain oral health and answer any follow-up questions they may have.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and other dental staff to ensure smooth operation of the office.
**Qualifications**
- **Certification**: Registered Level II Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program.
- **Experience**: Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental practice. Familiarity with a range of dental procedures and techniques.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in dental assisting procedures, sterilization techniques, and the use of dental equipment. Familiarity with dental practice management software is an asset.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
**Training and Onboarding**
- **Orientation**: Participate in a comprehensive orientation program to familiarize yourself with office procedures, protocols, and the dental software system.
- **Mentorship**: Receive guidance and support from experienced staff members to ensure a smooth transition into your new role.
- **Continual Learning**: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in dental assisting.
