**Position Overview**

Skate Canada is seeking a collaborative, focused and creative thinker to serve in the role of Digital Communications Manager. Reporting to the Communications Director, the Digital Communications Manager will assist in planning, managing and executing Skate Canada’s communications and digital strategies.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assists with managing the communications staff, providing feedback and ensuring organizational objectives are being met.
- Manages the creation of communications and social media plans and materials for all Skate Canada events. Ensures that Skate Canada messaging aligns with the organization’s strategic priorities.
- Manages media operations at select Skate Canada events.
- Provides monitoring, analysis and reporting for various communications and marketing channels/products.
- Drafts and reviews press releases, digital content and event-related media materials.
- Participates in the development of standard operating procedures as required, including those related to communications and marketing management and execution.

**Qualifications, Experience and Key Skills**
- University Degree in Communications, Public Relations or Marketing or equivalent education and work experience.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in a communications or digital marketing role.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Excellent creative and technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work effectively under pressure.
- Able to tackle new projects independently.
- Strong people leadership skills.
- Ability to delegate, monitor and follow up on projects.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge and experience in the sport of figure skating and knowledge of the Canadian sport system is a strong asset.
- Bilingualism is a strong asset.

**Additional Job Requirements** and Travel**
- Able to work weekends and overtime as required.
- Travel is required to select domestic events.

Patinage Canada est à la recherche d'une personne centrée et dotée d’un esprit de collaboration, ainsi que d’une imagination créative pour occuper le poste de gestionnaire, Communications numériques. Relevant de la directrice, Communications, le ou la gestionnaire, Communications numériques, aidera à la planification, la gestion et l'exécution des stratégies de communication et numériques de Patinage Canada.

**Principales responsabilités**
- Aider à gérer le personnel des communications, à fournir des rétroactions et à s'assurer que les objectifs organisationnels sont atteints.
- Gérer la création de plans et de matériel de communication et de médias sociaux pour tous les événements de Patinage Canada. S'assurer que les messages de Patinage Canada sont conformes aux priorités stratégiques de l'organisation.
- Gérer les opérations médiatiques à certains événements de Patinage Canada.
- Assurer la surveillance, l'analyse et la production de rapports pour divers canaux et produits de communication et de marketing.
- Gérer la stratégie de marketing par courriel et dans les médias sociaux et superviser les opérations quotidiennes sur toutes les plates-formes.
- Rédiger et examiner les communiqués de presse, le contenu numérique et le matériel médiatique liés aux événements.
- Participer à l'élaboration de procédures opérationnelles normalisées au besoin, y compris celles concernant la gestion et l'exécution des communications et du marketing.

**Qualifications, expérience et principales compétences**
- Diplôme universitaire en communications, relations publiques ou marketing ou études équivalentes et expérience de travail.
- Minimum de 5 ans ou plus d'expérience dans un rôle de communication ou de marketing numérique.
- Excellentes compétences en établissement de relations.
- Excellentes compétences en rédaction créative et technique.
- Fortes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite.
- Capable de travailler efficacement sous pression.
- Capacité de s'attaquer à de nouveaux projets de manière indépendante.
- Fortes compétences en direction de personnel.
- Capacité de déléguer, de surveiller et de suivre les projets.
- Capacité de travailler dans un milieu stressant où les activités se déroulent à un rythme rapide.
- La connaissance et de l’expérience dans le sport du patinage artistique et la connaissance du système sportif canadien sont des atouts importants.
- Le bilinguisme est un atout important.

**Exigences supplémentaires du poste et voyages**
- Disponibilité pour travailler les fins de semaine et faire des heures supplémentaires, au besoin.
- Des voyages seront exigés à certains événements nationaux.
