The **Clinical Specialist **will be responsible for assistance with surgical coverage and for building and maintaining relationships with Surgeons, operating room nurses and support staff. Provide in-servicing to surgical staff and support groups on new and existing technologies. Work collaboratively with Regional Director to plan territory coverage and maximize revenue generating activities in Quebec.

**A Day in the Life**
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Assistance with surgical case coverage.
- Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
- Assist Regional Sales Director in the development of Surgical Innovation & Advanced Solutions strategic key account plans annual business plans.
- Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
- Manage education and training of operating room staff, reprocessing/cleaning staff, buyers etc. through in-servicing and clinical support.
- Conducts market research including customers and competitors' activities.
- Understand the offering of Medtronic Surgical Innovation & Advanced Solutions technologies available to customers that are represented
- Build and maintain relationships with customers including surgeons, residents, nursing staff, OR management.
- Troubleshoot Medtronic Surgical Innovation & Advanced Solutions equipment when necessary.
- Assist the Territory Manager in the identification of sales opportunities.
- Support Territory Manager with sales opportunities.
- Schedule and organize with the assistance of the Territory Manager, regular in-service/update programs for on-going education.
- Attend local and national Surgical Innovation & Advanced Solutions conferences as required.
- Attend and support cadaver labs in local University in territory.
- Responsible for reporting products complaints
- Ability to travel 30%

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of medical device experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

**Nice to Have**
- Knowledge of anatomy and/or surgical procedures
- Clinical experience gained either as an employee of a hospital or as a vendor
- Experience in hospital education or hospital sales
