**Position Overview**

**As a Dispatcher**, you will be responsible for supporting and monitoring all on road activities completed by our Container Truck Drivers. This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday. You are a person who is responsible, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and a good communicator. You have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and troubleshooting solutions in a busy environment and possess the following **roles and responsibilities**:

- Dispatching approximately 20-25 trucks daily
- Provide drivers with all relevant information and/or tools for their trip; maps, schedules, trip information, and relevant customer information.
- Assess and support all driver inquiries, escalating issues to Management when unable to resolve
- Responsible for ensuring that all work orders are accurately entered in the trucking dispatch system in a timely manner; live updating, order entry, to planning, to activating, progressing and closing trips
- Scheduling delivery appointments, monitoring vessel schedules daily, loaded containers or booking reservations with CN
- Supply Customer Service Representative’s with information needed for customer reports
- Communicating with consignee, freight forwarder and shipping line, scheduling delivery appointments with consignee
- Ensure driver trip sheets are complete
- Check for empty returns and book RVs
- Monitor containers being stored in the yard and adding additional charges
- Working closely with the rest of the dispatch team
- Shift work of either 10am -6pm, 3pm
- 12 midnight

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 3 years experience as a dispatcher in the trucking industry required, with experience in intermodal an asset
- Understanding of transportation and customer service
- Port Pro computer system experience is an asset
- Superb attention to detail
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks at any given time
- Self-motivated and enjoys a fast-paced work environment
- Proactive and solution focused
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with a dispatch system is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
