**Job Description Summary**:
**BD In-Service Consultant Lab Role**

To achieve the successful adoption and conversion of BD products within healthcare facilities you will collaborate most closely with the Clinical Specialist as well as with the BD account team comprised of the:

- Account Manager
- Product Specialist
- Clinical Project Manager

Additionally, the BIC works with stakeholders impacted by the product change to assist with product integration and communicates feedback to the BD Team ensuring swift resolution of issues.

Within the context of the BD In-Service Consultant Conduct and Communication Policy, BD In-service Consultants are responsible for:

- delivering product education and training prior to “Go Live” conversion date
- coaching during product adoption (“Go Live” periods)
- education, coaching and training may be for Nurses as well as Lab staff and other health care workers as required
- reinforcing site specific institutional policies and procedures (when required)
- Providing validation training and support as needed
- Providing post conversion follow up support as needed

These tasks will be accomplished using your knowledge of evidence informed clinical practice, change management and adult learning principles.
- Availability must be four to five days per week
- shift times no less than four hours and not exceeding 12 hours
- Shift range 0600-2300 hours

This is a casual role and In-Service Consultants will be engaged on a per project basis regionally within the province but potentially travel to other provinces.
