**Construction Service Technician**

We're looking for a Service Technician (Warranty and Customer Service) to join our Homeowner Care team. You will provide warranty service and repair, interior finishing, and deficiency detailing for all of our construction projects.

**Key Qualifications**
- High-school diploma
- 2+ years of home renovation experience
- Flooring, drywall, and painting skills with ability to handle all types of patchwork and general repairs
- General carpentry skills
- Tile installation and repair skills
- Cabinet repair skills
- Ability to change plumbing fixtures, Basic plumbing understanding for minor repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to fix minor electrical issues, Basic plumbing electrical understanding for minor repairs and troubleshooting
- Ability to creatively solve challenging problems
- Basic knowledge of construction plans, building layouts, etc.
- Basic knowledge of the BC Building Code and municipal building bylaws
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English

**Key Duties**
- Assists in service requests, ensures all service appointment go smoothly, cleans up after all homeowner visits, and reports back to homecare department in regard to problems and solutions of the service.
- Provides a high-level of customer service in all interactions with homeowners
- Learns about warrantable items to utilize the knowledge during service appointments
- Orders and prepares materials required to complete work prior to homeowner appointments

(as needed and with manager’s approval)
- Handles Emergency calls as needed
- Prepares keys, garage FOBs for homeowners and provides them to Customer Care Coordinator/ Homecare Manager
- Participates in regular homeowner care meetings as needed
- Ensures units are ready for Home Orientation and Key Release appointments
- Conducts Construction to Homecare Building Handovers
- For all units runs PDI, tapes for paint and creates deficiency list for both Construction and Homecare Department
- Train new technicians with the apps and software’s we use and how to deal with homeowners
- Coordinates with trades as required for scope of work
- Repairs, patches, tapes, and muds drywall
- Paints, sprays, and stains walls, trims, and patches
- Handles all types of caulking
- Other duties related to the job

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: $16.39-$30.00 per hour
