Sirius Controls is a progressive and rapidly growing company that is well-positioned in the manufacturing industry. We want to add a self-motivated and capable member to our Production team.

Our Edmonton facility has an immediate full-time opening for an Instrumentation Technician.

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Use electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments to inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults.
- Perform installation/calibration of process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers and control valves.
- Install, repair and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation and control equipment in the industrial Oil & Gas sector.
- Field commissioning to ensuring that newly installed equipment or systems are operating correctly and are safe to use.
- Read manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and quality control specifications for assembly procedures.
- Calibrate components and instruments according to manufacturers’ specifications
- Assemble pumps, tubing, battery boxes, batteries, attaching hardware, switches, or other parts
- Complete all production and quality control documentation.
- Follow ISO 9000 standards, 5S and LEAN manufacturing Standards.

**Qualifications**:

- 2 year diploma in instrumentation technology.
- 3 years of instrumentation hands on experience.
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.
- Able to read, interpret and follow procedures for mechanical/electrical design drawings
- Computer skills: Proficient with MS Word, Excel.
- Able to work as part of a team or independently with mínimal supervision

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- Instrumentation: 3 years (required)
- Instrumentation technology diploma: 2 years (required)
- P&ID reading: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)

Work Location: In person

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
