We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Manager to join our team in Edmonton. This is **not **a remote position - you **must **be able to work from our Edmonton office.
The Manufacturing Manager plans, organizes, directs and evaluates the operations of PSCL’s manufacturing services team, under the direction of the Vice President-Customer Engagement. The Manufacturing Manager supervises and coordinates the activities of employees who assemble and inspect electrical components and industrial equipment that operates PSCL’s software products. They are responsible for achieving sustainable results and improvement goals in customer service, quality, operational excellence, cost/productivity, inventory management, safety and organizational capability
Key responsibilities:
- Work with Sales, Development, Customer Engagement and Project Management to meet customer needs
- Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets
- Plan and manage the establishment of departmental budget
- Develop production schedules and maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products
- Manage purchasing process
- Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
- Optimize inventory levels
- Direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures
- Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques.
- Education_
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience in Management preferred
- Post secondary education in electrical or manufacturing technology or related discipline
- Degree in Engineering considered an asset
- Certification and/or experience with Six Sigma Process and Lean Manufacturing considered an asset
- Technical Skills_
- Minimum 5 years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with manufacturing/purchasing software program, preferably E2 Shop System
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
- Shipping and logistic experience considered an asset
