We’re excited to launch a new state-of-the-art robotic homebuilding plant in partnership with several large homebuilders within the Greater Calgary Region. Powered by Promise Robotics' transformative production lines for timber-based panelized construction, the new plant enables our group of homebuilding partners to significantly increase the capacity and speed of home production within the fast-growing region of Calgary, AB.

**What you will do**:

- **Vendor Management**: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with new and existing suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective procurement.
- ** Sourcing & Procurement**: Manage the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, components, and equipment necessary for production, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- ** Inventory Control**: Collaborate with production and inventory teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, avoiding overstock or stockouts.
- ** Cost Management**: Monitor and control purchasing costs to ensure alignment with the company’s budget. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- ** Supplier Performance**: Monitor supplier performance, including delivery schedules, product quality, and contract adherence. Address any issues or delays promptly.
- ** Contract Management**: Draft, review, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms are clear, compliance is maintained, and risks are minimized.
- ** Market Research**: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, new suppliers, and pricing changes that may affect purchasing strategies.
- ** Collaboration**: Work closely with other departments (e.g., production, engineering, and finance) to ensure purchasing strategies align with company goals and production schedules.
- ** Compliance**: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

**What you will need to succeed**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proven negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contracts and pricing.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier evaluation, and contract management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- CPM or other relevant certifications (preferred but not required).
