The Customs Compliance Specialist is responsible for administering the customs release and confirmation process for import transactions arriving via all modes of transport. The role entails the reviewing and processing of Customs commercial documents and supporting clients towards accurate and compliant declarations. The Account Manager role must also ensure client satisfaction through a consistent level of excellent customer service and is expected to perform to meet our clients expectations and operate within our companies guidelines.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Provide a high level of customer service to an assigned set of accounts.
- Professional Communication with internal & external clients.
- Responsible for all compliance issues affecting the assigned accounts, including performing internal audits for tariff classification, valuation, tariff treatment, etc as necessary.
- Manage all elements of the assigned customers database
- Assist release staff by answering questions/providing direction/adding rating information to ensure AQ release.
- Provide feedback and training to release staff when errors are identified.
- Perform B3 entry quality control to ensure all B3 entries are compliant with Canada Customs compliance guidelines.
- Refer and work with other service units to maximize new and existing business opportunities.
- Other duties as required.

**Required Skills & Achievements**
- CCS or LCB designation is required with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the brokerage industry.
- CTCS (either attained, or in progress) is preferred.
- Strong professional communication skills (oral and written)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills, multi-tasking, customer service & organizational skills
- Knowledge of customs laws and regulations as it relates to origin, tariff classification, valuation, trade agreements, tariff treatments and government regulations
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment; contributing to the completion of projects within established deadlines
- Fluent in English

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
