**Archery Games and Room Escape Ottawa is looking for Hosts**

We are looking for a few friendly, enthusiastic and confident individuals to join our fun and growing team. Hosts must be able to clearly communicate game rules and instructions while providing a great experience for all participants. At Archery Games we provide an extremely active and exciting activity, the player experience largely depends on the host - how well they communicate, the enthusiasm they show and how they control the action. Room Escape Ottawa depends on hosts to create the energy and excitement around each escape and theme. This is an ideal position for someone who likes engaging with the public and putting a smile on people’s faces

**Responsibilities and Duties**

**Room Escape**
- Communicate the theme of the room and create the experience for participants
- Introduce the rules of Escape Rooms and general guidelines/safety
- Monitor progress of players and provide hints/tips
- Reset game room and is responsible for the resetting station
- Keep a watchful eye on the clock and ensure games begin/end on time
- Responsible for general cleanliness and maintenance of the game room and props
- Answer questions and record feedback from participants

**Archery Games**
- Distribute equipment and provide instruction on proper use and safety
- Able to answer questions and handle feedback
- Provide gameplay rules and guidelines
- Ensure the front desk, arena and other areas are clean, orderly and safe for the public
- Supervise and officiate gameplay and promote a fun, safe and competitive environment
- Ensure games begin and end on time, or fair adjustments are made
- Properly clean and store equipment upon return

**Qualifications and Skills**
- A passion for games and entertainment, sports, recreational activities or education
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage small - large groups
- Extremely organized and able to exhibit high attention to detail
- Ability to deliver great customer experiences in any environment
- Independently able to solve problems and make decisions quickly and under pressure
- Must possess excellent people skills - able to approach people and be approachable
- Strong command of the English language (speaking and writing) - French is a plus
- Most important: Must have a good sense of humour and be a fun addition to our team
- Training and orientation will be provided

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
