**Custom CNC Machinist**

Romac Metal Works is a leader in the custom metal machining and fabricating industry, located in Milton, ON.

We currently have full time positions available for a **Custom CNC machinist** on day(7:30am-4pm) shift and afternoon (4pm -12:30am), with overtime opportunities. Our compensation package is very competitive, including RRSP match and profit sharing, and hourly wages reflective of the level of skill brought by the individual.

**Our Equipment**

We have overhead cranes up to to 20 Tons and our CNCHorizontal Boring Mills have a machine travel of up to 5 metre with rotary B-Axis - Toshiba with Tosnuc controls and Tos Varnsdorf with Heidenhein controls boring mills.

**Required Experience**

The successful Individual will have experience with or exposure to:

- setup of machine and job fixturing,
- program editing,
- tool selection and setup,
- tool parameter setting,
- blueprint reading, and
- use of measuring instruments.

**Desired Skills and Experience**

1. Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Machinist or equivalent work experience required

2. Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills

3. Minimum of 4 years related experience required in machining

4. Operating knowledge of CNC machines, ideally Horizontal Boring Mills

5. Ability to utilize overhead crane to lift and maneuver large work pieces safely

6. CNC programming and set up abilities, an asset

7. Excellent troubleshooting skills to resolve issues with sound judgment

8. Knowledge of Mastercam is an asset

9. Knowledge of GD&T an asset.

10. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

11. Sound mathematical skills

This is a Permanent Fulltime position. Overtime is often available, but not mandatory. Our compensation is based on experience and ability.
