Criminal background check will be conducted by the employer as a condition of employment.

Base rate is $19.00/hour plus daily overtime.

**Experience**

Minimum 1 year of remote camp or commercial cooking experience

**Transportation/Travel Information**

Willing to travel for extended periods of time. Employer will provide transportation using Via Rail.

**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**

Fast-paced environment; Handling heavy loads; Work under pressure; Repetitive tasks; Standing for extended periods; Physically demanding; Attention to detail.

**Work Location Information**

Staff accommodation provided while working (off time accommodation not provided). Remote location in Northern Ontario.

**Specific Skills**

Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes; Plan menu; Estimate food requirements and costs; Monitor and order supplies; Inspect kitchens and food service areas; Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment; Clean kitchen and work areas.

**Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)**
- Safe Food Handling certificate
- Employer will provide WHMIS 2015, Lockout/Tagout, General Safety Awareness training through NORCAT online.
