**Support Worker (Employment) - Temporary Full Time Contract** We are currently searching for a dedicated, caring and compassionate professional to join our Employment team at Woodstock & District Developmental Services (WDDS). **Who are we?**WDDS is a non-profit charitable organization that has been providing opportunities and supports for people living with developmental disabilities in Oxford County since 1959. WDDS offers all new employees an extensive training program that includes paid orientation, shadow shifts, and a mentorship program to ensure you are fully equipped and ready for your new role. **What will you do?** - Provide direct and indirect support including the development of a personal plan that connects people to their community, prospective employers, and supports in fostering skills for success to reach their employment goals. - Maintain a safe environment in which people are supported with respect and dignity. - Maintain a positive demeanor and high levels of self-motivation, while working offsite and independently. - Develop and foster relationships with Employers and Community partners. - Develop, and facilitate worker assessments and workshops. **Hours of Work**: 75 hours biweekly. Variable, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Hours and locations are to be scheduled as required based on the support and program needs. **What do you require?** - Post-secondary degree or diploma (Social Services, Business or related field). - Must have a valid Ontario Provincial class “G” or "G2" driver’s license, pass a driving orientation, have access to a reliable vehicle and be insurable with WDDS Commercial Auto Insurance Carrier. - Must be flexible with working hours to accommodate program requirements and respond to emergency situations. - Strong computer skills using internet and MSOffice software. - A CPIC with vulnerable sector screening must be provided. - A Driver's Abstract must be provided. - Must be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. **What do we offer?** - Starting pay rate is $24.80 per hour. - Public Holiday Pay of 4% on each pay. - Employee Assistance Program. - Employer-paid training programs with paid orientation. - Career development & internal advancement opportunities. - Membership discount with Goodlife Fitness. **Equal Opportunity Employer** WDDS is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
