Personal Support Workers are the core of the Geri Health Team, they can choose their area of practice, home care and/or in-facility healthcare aide. You are part of the healthcare team in delivering high standard quality care and assisting clients with their activities of daily living.

Personal Support Workers play an integral duties and responsibilities:

- In facility duties, you are assigned to number of patient and assist in the flow of care in the unit.
- Assist clients with their personal care and other routines of daily living such as grooming, dressing and bathing/showering.
- Ability to carry out patient's individualized care plan accordingly including therapeutic recreational activities.
- Assist clients in meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping.
- Assess, report and document any changes in client health status and intervene timely to ensure safety and well being.
- Demonstrate professionalism at all times with interprofessional team, clients, families and community contacts.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the care team.
- Excellent critical thinking skills, problem solving and decision making skills to deliver care to clients safety.

Qualifications:

- Personal Support Worker certificate
- First Aid/CPR
- Criminal police check and vulnerable police check issued within 3 months
- Immunization and TB screening. Current mask fit test.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Must have positive attitude and be committed in fostering a healthy team environment.
- Second language is an asset.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
