Skid Steer Operator

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Operate skid steer loaders to load/unload tires into shredders, conveyors, and transport trucking
- Maintain clean and organized work areas by sweeping and relocating debris using the skid steer
- Transport shredded rubber and steel byproducts to designated storage or processing areas
- Assist in the setup, adjustment, and operation of recycling equipment when needed
- Inspect equipment before each use; report mechanical issues or maintenance needs
- Comply with all safety protocols, site rules, and operational procedures
- Monitor materials for contamination and report any concerns to supervisors
- Work in coordination with heavy equipment operators and facility staff to ensure smooth production flow
- Perform routine equipment checks, refueling, and minor maintenance as necessary
- Follow directions from supervisors and adjust work based on production needs
- Shop and Yard clean up as needed

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Have experience operating skid steers (Case, CAT or equivalent)
- Experience in an industrial or recycling environment preferred
- Valid skid steer operator certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to perform physical labor in a loud, dusty, and fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and equipment handling
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid Drivers license

**Work Conditions**:

- Full-time position with potential for overtime
- Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, and tire materials
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times on site

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-07-25
