Entry-Level: Out of School Care Leader at one of our two locations 3427 Quadra St and 740 Sherk St.

We are seeking part-time out of school care leaders for morning and afternoon care to join our expanding centre. Our non-profit organization provides preschool, daycare, and school-age care. Through our nurturing environment, children can explore the world around them, learn and play, and be empowered by those who lead them. We are looking for someone that is:

Hours available:

- Monday-Friday: 7:00am-9:00am and 2:00-5:30pm.
- Some full time hours on Pro-D Days.
- Full time hours during Spring Break, Summer, and Winter Camps.

Applicants must have:

- Clean criminal record check.
- Two reference letters.
- Must be a minimum of 19 years of age.

After being hired, we will provide resources for training. You will need to complete a 20 hour Responsible Adult Course, unless you have completed a post-secondary course in child health, safety, nutrition, guidance or child development. Additionally, First Aid Certification training must be completed.

**Duties**:

- Planning and administering crafts, games, and activities.
- Familiarity of the centre’s policies, emergency plan and licensing requirements.
- Establishing positive relationships with families, children, and coworkers.
- Supervising the children, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Communicating and collaborating with staff to create a cohesive work environment.

What we offer:

- Wage: $18.50-$20.00
- Benefits (Health/Dental): applicable after three months of work with minimum 20 hours per week.
