- **Role Summary**:_
Our Burnaby Branch is currently recruiting for an **Inventory Control Specialist** position to perform quality service and management of the stores for all fire and security products. This is a unionized position that is responsible for all inventory functions including, cycle counts, receiving stock, and managing inventory levels.
- **Key Job Responsibilities**:_
- Follow established procedures for store inventory management
- Ship and receive all parts and products and maintain all required inventory levels in the branch
- Co-ordinate all sales orders with the inventory system and prepare inventory for each project
- Assist in the preparation of requisitions
- Check orders for discrepancies and ensure appropriate corrective measures are taken to resolve them
- Management equipment repair (repair tag/shipping/receiving)
- Complete stockroom and truck inventory counts
- Data-entry for necessary stock adjustments
- Maintain catalogs of available stock items
- Adhere and participate in the recycling program for waste inventory
- Should be comfortable to lift up-to 50 pounds to move, unpack and stack boxes
- **Qualifications**:_
- High School diploma
- 2+ years of experience in warehousing and/or inventory control
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- JDE or any ERP system experience will be an asset but not mandatory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills
- Post-Secondary education in Office Administration or a related discipline preferred
- Highly organized and able to work under pressure
- Flexibility to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision/self-motivated and a desire to work on a winning team
- Excellent presentation and time management skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communications skills
- Self-motivator with a positive outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective at building relationships - with a strong client service orientation

- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills

Salary Range: $21.26 to $31.49 per hour - Increase effective October 1, 2024
